Pattern Tessili

for Lithea

2025

The collection draws inspiration from four iconic textile patterns, reinterpreted through the use of marble and

stone to create refined wall coverings that express both elegance and strength.

Each design tells the story of a pattern, establishing a parallel between fabric and wall surfaces: fabric dresses the

human body, while marble dresses spaces. This dialogue generates a fascinating contrast between the visual

softness of fabric and the solidity of stone, transforming each surface into a unique work of art.

1. SHEPHERD

The iconic checkered pattern, rich in history and tradition, is revitalized through marble. The different shades of

stone, combined with the dynamic rhythm of squares and strips, create a sense of familiarity and comfort. The

texture of marble enhances the structure of the pattern, giving it a sophisticated visual dimension—perfect for

contemporary spaces while maintaining a strong connection to the past.

Materials: Pietra Pece, Travertine, Marrone Emperador strips

Tile dimensions: 20x20x2 cm

2. PLAID

A harmonious interweaving of horizontal and vertical lines gives rise to a dynamic and modular composition. The

classic plaid or tartan pattern is reinterpreted in marble through a combination of stones in warm and cool tones,

emphasizing chromatic contrast. The sharp lines and directional variations evoke tradition, while the marble adds

a modern and sculptural character.

Materials: Bianco Fenice with Verde Guatemala inlays

Tile dimensions: 20x20x2 cm

3. CHESTER

Inspired by the woven texture of the iconic Chesterfield upholstery, this design translates the softness of padded

squares into sculpted and structured surfaces. The sinuous forms become essential geometries, where the

interplay of highs and lows accentuates the relief of the "folds," creating an effect of sophisticated elegance and

visual balance.

Materials: Bianco Avorio with Giallo Siena inlays

Tile dimensions: 20x20x2 cm

4. ARGYLE

The classic diamond motif, typical of wool socks and sweaters, takes on a new form through marble. The

alternating colors and diagonals challenge traditional geometry, while the striking contrast between different

shades—enriched by natural veining—gives it a dynamic and contemporary look. By working with varying

thicknesses and visual intensities, the marble acquires an unexpected lightness.

Materials: Bianco Fenice, Bardiglio Imperiale, Verde Guatemala

Tile dimensions: 24x14,5x2 cm
