Giardino Delle Meraviglie
Installation for Eataly + Interni
2025

Garden of Wonders, the installation created for Eataly during this Design Week, begins with a large decorative piece on the main façade. Here, two eyes stand out, framed by leaves and geometric shapes — as if suggesting a gaze that is attentive, curious, and ready to explore the world of creation. That’s exactly what I wanted to represent: the creative process is complex, engaging, fun, but also demanding — and it requires courage. So, to dive into this experience, you must pass through the mouth of the “monster,” immersing yourself in the search for something new and magical.

Once inside, you're greeted by a path marked on the floor with a PVC film — a sort of guide to help you navigate Eataly’s spaces, conceived as a labyrinth full of objects and distractions, much like our own minds. The path, however, is not always linear or continuous. It winds through large plants and green expanses — a nature that envelops, protects, and inspires, offering constant new impressions that encourage you to keep moving forward.

Upstairs, on the first floor near the stage, you can take a break and let yourself be surprised by the first forms — small creatures made of shaped polystyrene. This is the moment of inspiration: here, images, beings, and structures begin to take shape — things that didn’t exist just moments ago, but now start to become clearer and more defined.

At this point, the path becomes even more fragmented and unpredictable, because creation demands self-trust and the courage to follow your own vision. The journey reaches its peak in the restaurant area on the second floor — the highest point — where ideas materialize, take full form, and become real.

Finally, more shapes and creatures accompany you toward the exit, signaling a return to reality, though within a magical circle that — ideally — never truly closes.
