Alberico Legnolino wishes to present Pinocchio in a different perspective. Lines and details highlight his distinctive feature: a large hole in his chest, a symbol of introspection and desire for love. 

Alberico is a Pinocchio tired of lies, open and defenceless, who, through this cavity, shows us his soul ready to receive the affection and humanity always desired.

In conveying Pinocchio's eternal message, the ongoing search for a genuine heart, Alberico becomes a metaphor for the need for sincerity, symbolises hope and transformation, and reminds us to cultivate our humanity.
